CATHARSIS Art Show

  • Mexican Heritage Plaza 1700 Alum Rock Avenue San Jose, CA, 95116 United States (map)

Forty artists in San Jose display multimedia works created in CATHARSIS–the purging of grief, anger, and frustration. This end-of-year art exhibition opens with an equally vocal curation of live music and poetry. San Jose-based bands Self-Mitigation and Stuck Here headline the reception program, and spoken word artists perform a selection of their work throughout the evening. After the big night, the exhibition remains on view for select weekday evenings and by appointment. CATHARSIS is the first group show produced by the staff at the Mexican Heritage Plaza, with artworks selected via open submission.
